In the early 1990's, a group of business owners formed the Hudson Area Merchants Association and conceived the idea of the Street Fair as a festival to involve the merchants and citizens of this small town, and to celebrate the beauty of Hudson in the summertime. Well, the merchant's association became the Hudson Area Business Association (HABA) and the Street Fair has continued to thrive and grow, attracting more and more visitors each year. Both are now landmarks in Hudson.
